Zan Fraser is a classically trained actor who studied at the NYC National Shakespeare Conservatory, a scholar of medieval drama and literature about the magical and mystical, and a Pagan. He lives in New York City.
He is a regular contributor to The Juggler: Arts, Culture, and Pop-Culture from a Pagan Perspective.
Zan also writes frequently for The Witches’ Voice. Most of his articles for Witchvox are posted in the Articles section of this site as well.
Zan has written five books about how witches and magic users are portrayed in Medieval and Renaissance literature, about the folk-traditions of a goddess and horned god, and about the development of the witch-hunting frenzy. Together, the books explore how our popular thought about these mystical and mysterious figures evolved through the centuries.
